Like all agencies and organisations funded by the Health Service Executive HSE to provide day services to adults with disabilities, St. Service users are supported to participate in community-based educational, training, employment, social and recreational activities. The training programme encompasses all aspects of daily life which enables each individual to adapt socially, culturally and emotionally to independent living and employment.
We have six services throughout the greater Dublin area for adults experiencing homelessness. We continue to find increasing need for our services. This is made worse by the lack of suitable housing options available to people.

We provide services and supports to adults with intellectual disabilities. We are committed to New Directions, the national strategy for people with an intellectual disability. Everyone we support has a Person Directed Plan which outlines his or her life goals in work, education, socialisation, relationships, living circumstances and other life skills.

We provide psychiatric and psychological assessment and care to Mater Hospital inpatients as well as follow up outpatient services to patients after discharge from the hospital. Patients are referred to us by Mater Hospital staff. Stewarts Care is committed to providing service users with the services that they require, irrespective of their level of need. Operating from two main sites at Palmerstown, and Balgaddy in South West Dublin, and several satellite residential and day service centres throughout West Dublin and North Kildare, Stewarts provides extensive services to people with an intellectual disability.
